Rules When Training

  1. Always shower before and after training

  2. Always swim in the correct lane direction (1,3,5 clockwise & 2,4,6

  3. anticlockwise)

  4. Always leave a five second gap between yourself and the swimmer in front

  5. Never dive while a swimmer is coming in to turn.

  6. If you catch the swimmer in front up, tap them on the feet to let them know you would like to pass. When you have felt this tap on the feet wait until the end of the length stop allowing the person behind to take over.

  7. Never pull on a persons legs to get them to move over.

  8. Training is not a race unless told to do so.

  9. No pushing, dunking, running or sitting on the lane ropes.

  10. No bobbing up and down, keep your ears and eyes out of the water in order to listen to the instructions of the teacher.

  11. No fizzy drinks or food on poolside

  12. Do not turn off any lights at any time

  13. Return all equipment to the cupboard in the way that you found it.

  14. HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE


PARENTS When possible please make sure that your children arrive on time and are ready to swim with the required equipment (goggles, hat, and swimwear)
While your children are swimming the teachers, coaches and committee members (all CRB checked) will be responsible for the swimmers.
Once the swimmer has left the pool area and enters the changing room it becomes the parents responsibility to look after the child. Please be available from 8.15pm.
